Our Commitment
Accessibility Statement
Clayton Dental Studio is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
Partially conformant: Some parts of the content do not fully conform to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. We are actively working to identify and remediate any remaining gaps. This statement was last reviewed in July 2026.
Technical Specifications
Accessibility of this website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- HTML5
- CSS3 (including ARIA landmark roles)
- JavaScript (React 19)
- WAI-ARIA 1.2
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Third-party booking widget
Our online appointment booking tool is provided by a third-party vendor. While we have requested accessibility improvements, full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance of that widget is outside our direct control. Patients who encounter barriers may call us directly to book an appointment.
Embedded Google Maps
Interactive maps embedded on our site are provided by Google Maps. Keyboard navigation within the map frame may be limited. The map is supplemented with our full address in text form on every page.
Measures We Have Taken
Clayton Dental Studio has taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- An AI-powered accessibility widget (UserWay) is installed on every page, providing users with tools to adjust text size, contrast, cursor size, reading guides, and other display preferences to suit their individual needs
- Skip-to-main-content link available on every page for keyboard users
- All form fields are programmatically associated with visible labels
- Navigation menus include ARIA landmark roles and expanded/collapsed state indicators
- All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text
- Color is never used as the sole means of conveying information
- Interactive elements have visible keyboard focus indicators
- Page language is declared in the HTML element
- Heading hierarchy is maintained on all pages (H1 → H2 → H3)
- All videos are served in universally compatible formats (H.264 MP4)
- Patient-facing videos include closed captions; the homepage hero video is decorative and silent (no audio track)
- Breadcrumb navigation is marked up with ARIA labels
