Most patients benefit from a professional cleaning and exam every six months. However, patients with gum disease, a history of cavities, or other risk factors may need more frequent visits. Dr. Kamboj will recommend a schedule tailored to your oral health needs.
A routine exam includes a comprehensive oral health evaluation, digital X-rays (as needed), a professional cleaning to remove plaque and tartar, a gum health assessment, oral cancer screening, and a personalized treatment plan if any issues are identified.
The best prevention includes brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, flossing once daily, limiting sugary and acidic foods and beverages, drinking fluoridated water, and attending regular professional cleanings. Dental sealants and fluoride treatments can provide additional protection for children and high-risk adults.
Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque and tartar along the gumline, leading to inflammation and infection. Early-stage gingivitis can often be reversed with improved home care and professional cleanings. More advanced periodontitis may require deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) or other targeted treatments.
Yes. Bruxism (teeth grinding or clenching) can wear down enamel, cause jaw pain, headaches, and cracked teeth over time. We can evaluate for signs of grinding and recommend a custom night guard to protect your teeth while you sleep.
We offer professional teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, dental bonding, Invisalign clear aligners, and complete smile makeovers. During a consultation, Dr. Kamboj will evaluate your smile and recommend the most effective combination of treatments for your goals.
With proper care, dental crowns typically last 10β15 years or longer. The lifespan depends on the material used, your bite, and your oral hygiene habits. Clayton Dental Studio uses advanced milling technology to create same-day ceramic crowns that are both durable and natural-looking.
A crown covers the entire tooth and is used when a tooth is significantly damaged, decayed, or weakened. A veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front surface of the tooth and is primarily a cosmetic solution for improving color, shape, or minor alignment. Dr. Kamboj will recommend the right option based on your specific situation.
Professional teeth whitening results typically last 6 months to 2 years depending on diet, oral hygiene, and lifestyle habits such as coffee, tea, or tobacco use. Touch-up treatments can help maintain your results over time.
Most adults with good general health and adequate jawbone density are candidates for dental implants. Factors such as uncontrolled diabetes, smoking, or insufficient bone volume may affect candidacy. A thorough evaluation including CBCT imaging will determine whether implants are right for you.
The implant process typically takes 3β6 months from placement to final restoration, depending on healing time and whether bone grafting is needed. Dr. Kamboj will provide a personalized timeline during your consultation.
Invisalign uses a series of custom-made clear aligners worn 20β22 hours per day to gradually shift teeth into the desired position. Each set of aligners is changed every 1β2 weeks, and periodic checkups monitor progress. Treatment duration varies but typically ranges from 6β18 months.
Absolutely. Invisalign is popular among adults precisely because the aligners are nearly invisible and removable. Many adults who missed orthodontic treatment earlier in life choose Invisalign as a discreet, effective solution.
